I had an idea last night that sent me back to work on my roguelike project. Over Christmas I wrote a simple engine in Python using Pygame (see the image) but I have a bunch of tricky core stuff like FOV and pathfinding left to implement. After reading Kooneiform’s posts on the Doryen Library I am seriously thinking about starting afresh with libtcod.
In any case, I will post sporadic progress reports here.
